My journey into photography is not like most. It's an assignment that has been circulating in my life all along, with a slow build in my last semester of graduate school. While I was so focused on climbing the corporate ladder and honing in on my career goals, all the while God's plan was leading me to this assignment.
The number of universities + colleges in NC I've visited to photograph seniors.
The number of families + seniors I've worked with in and around Raleigh, North Carolina.
Tiara Hargrove Photography was officially established 🥳
The year a family member asked me to photograph their family. This sparked an idea of becoming a photographer!
The year I got my first camera with the hopes of just capturing memories with my friends + family.
My creative journey started during my last semester of studying Healthcare Administration. After photographing my sister's family photos, something just clicked for me! Being behind the camera resonated with my creativity, passion for creating lasting memories, and need to use my gifts for the benefit of others.
In finding my way into the photography space, I was blessed to work with great photographers who provided a wealth of knowledge and encouraged me to do work that resonates with me. I credit their advice for helping me identify the two types of audiences I love working with — families and seniors!
Tiara Hargrove Photography is going on 5+ years of business! I've worked with more than 150 families + seniors in the Triangle, and received features in 3 magazines. As I remain faithful to God's plan, this assignment continuously changes and becomes bigger than anything I could've imagined.
I recently married my best friend, who I met in middle school (or at least that's how my husband would tell it). We went to the same middle school but didn't meet until almost a decade later. We love to explore the Triangle and surrounding areas — which is how I find such great locations for photo sessions!
I'm a plant enthusiast, and it's not uncommon for you to see a few (or all) of our plant babies on my social accounts. Fun fact: they're all named after Disney characters!
